We’d like to have a minute or two to congratulate Erica Rhodes, our cast member on Going Home, who just made through the first round of American Idol last night! We are so happy for you and so proud of you! Whip it to Hollywood, baby!!! LOL Congratulations!!!

We’re thinking of participating DVXUser.com upcoming online festival, BetrayalFest.
We have once again collaborated with an awesome writer on the board, but this time, it’s a different writer who was kind to offer his service to members. His name is Chris Keaton.
I like the theme and I have a story in mind, so I discussed it with Chris and within a few days, he came up with an awesome screenplay. I feel the screenplay is challenge enough so that we could also learn something new while doing it. The working title is “Taking Advantage”.
I’m in talk with another buddy of mine. He also has another short script that fits the theme. Who knows, we might be doing that one too. LOL. Stay tune!
So Canon just released its new HDSLR camera EOS 7D with all of its glory. Multiple frame rates (24p,30p,60p..) and full HD 1080p. It has S35 sized sensor which is close to 35mm film (not still) camera sensor. This is a big improvement on HDSLR for independent filmmakers. A dream piece of equipment that is capable in lowlight and light weight.
Canon has delivered the first batch (body only) and people are rushing to buy one. I have been wanting a HDSLR for a while since the 5D Mark II came out, then the Panasonic GH1… but I didn’t make any move yet, I was kinda waiting for something else coming out with better feature. This 7D isn’t much better than 5D Mark II but it has features that a filmmaker like myself would find very useful. I have put in a pre-order on Amazon 2 weeks or so ago… so we’ll see what it really promises when we got one… Meanwhile, check out this beautiful short shot with this camera:
Yeah.. welcome everyone to our new and improved online presentation
After a few good months, I decided to do this. Our Flash website looks nice and easy to maintain but then, I couldn’t get search engines to crawl it and index it… so I thought maybe I should have more text on the site; and I’m thinking about which should be the best to maintain and update info; so therefore I chose blogging style… now it is much easier… so yeah, there you go, a little history about the move
Now on with the production news. There isn’t any great news lately. We’ve been submitting our latest films to festivals but haven’t got any great news yet. So let’s just wait it out and see.
Welcome to Blue Light Pictures. We are in the process of revamping the website, converting it to BLOGGING style… please bare with us and keep checking back!
